Lauren Goodger considering a water birth for first child with boyfriend Charles Drury

Former TOWIE  star Lauren Goodger has stated her intention on how she wants to give birth as she hits the five-month mark in her pregnancy.

The reality TV star, 34, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Charles Drury has told how she fancies having a water birth instead of giving birth in a hospital bed.

Lauren, who is 20 weeks pregnant, made her declaration on Instagram as she asked mums who have had one how they felt about the experience.

She wrote: "Been thinking about a water birth has anyone had one? DM me would to chat about how you found it?"

A source also told MailOnline: "Lauren is taking her birth really seriously having seen other people having water births and thinks it could be for her.

"She thinks it seems calming and wants the calmest labour for her and her baby."

A waterbirth typically take place in a  hospital or at home with medical staff.

Last month Lauren revealed she found the first three months of her pregnancy "quite difficult" because of sickness and nausea on a Instagram Q&A session.

She also hit back at criticism over her decision to share her private life online.

Lauren said: "[I] Found it quite difficult for the first three months. It's just over as well and it's just starting to get better so yeah, just tired still, but not the sickness.

"I felt very, very sick but wasn't actually sick all the time. I have been sick a few times, or just had the feeling, I would rather have been sick because it's a mental release."

She also teased a potential return to reality TV in the session.

Lauren started dating Charles last year and moved in with him at his Essex pad three weeks after the start of the relationship.

And she has suggested to OK! magazine they'll be together forever, saying: "This is where my life begins.

"We're a family now."
