Lauren Goodger admits to wanting three kids and is ready for a baby boy next

Lauren Goodger has admitted that she wants up to three children and is eager to have a baby boy next.

The 34-year-old TOWIE star, who is expecting her first child with Charles Drury, 23, recently opened up about her pregnancy journey and hopes for the future on The Hot Mess Mums Club podcast.

Speaking to Jenny Powell and Kelly Pegg, Lauren explained that she is open to having children later in life and the expectations surrounding women has changed in recent years.

As well as being optimistic about having three children by the time she is 40 years old, Lauren also suggested that she wants a boy next.

“I’m 34 and I’m having my first, so you know, but depending on life and situations and whatever happens, I would like to have probably 3 kids," Lauren said in the podcast.

"So by the time this ones here I will just be turning 35, so I could be 40 when I have my last. But yeah it’s a completely different generation... Now we do more things, we wanna have adventure and we wanna work, so women do have kids later. “

While Lauren is excited to welcome her baby girl imminently, the reality star is hopeful she can give her daughter a younger brother in the future.

“Now I’m having a girl I want a boy next, so let’s see," Lauren continued.

"I’ve got nieces and nephews and I’m godmother to three children, so I know what they are like. The boys are lovely and cuddly to their mums and they are so loving and then the girls are really calm and stuff, like the boys will run around like lunatics and then the girls will sit up with the women looking all nice. But yeah, I do want one of each hopefully.”

Lauren's birth date is fast approaching and the reality star is eagerly awaiting her bundle of joy just next month.

However, it comes just days after she also revealed that she hasn't spoken to her own mum since announcing her baby news.

Earlier, Lauren explained that it was a 'shame' that her mum Cheryl hasn't reached out to Lauren.

The TOWIE previously revealed that her mum gave her up to her dad when she was four-years-old, but kept two of her siblings.

Her mum has also revealed in a previous interview that she was struggling with depression after giving birth to Lauren and she 'rejected' her as a result.
