Lauren Goodger admits she's preparing for nasty trolls to comment on baby's looks

Lauren Goodger has confessed that she's prepared for nasty trolls to make cruel comments about her unborn baby's appearance.

The 34-year-old is expecting her first child, a daughter, with partner Charles Drury, 23, in a matter of weeks.

Despite the happy time, the former TOWIE star has been the target of cruel comments by online troll s and recently blasted the haters who have bothered her during her pregnancy.

And now the mother-to-be admitted that she's been warned by fellow celebrities to be aware of the "mum police" and has warned the haters that if they come after her child, expect to be blocked.

Speaking about her pregnancy journey on The Hot Mess Mums Club podcast, Lauren told hosts Jenny Powell and Kelly Pegg: "A lot of other mums have messaged me and said, 'be careful of the mum police' but I'm just not going to worry about anything like.

"Because I think they've got something to say about absolutely every and anything anyway so I'm not going to take it seriously.

"But I've got quite a thick-skin because of it," she continued. "I don't listen to the negative comments but my partner's [Charles] a little bit more sensitive and he'll get more upset because I know people are going to write, 'your baby is ugly' because a lot of celebrities do get that.

"None of them are ugly, all babies are beautiful but they'll probably pick up on little things.

"And God, she's not even here yet, but I just know that's what's going to happen with the haters and trolls on social media so I'll probably be doing a lot of blocking."

The TV star added that she worries about "protecting" her little one from social media.

"I'm worried about protecting her," she continued. "As much as we're in this industry and there's a lot of pressure on it and being a woman anyway.

"She's a girl so I'd really have to look after her and protect her from this industry".

Her candid comments comes after it was reported the ITV star might step away from the spotlight to protect her daughter.

Lauren has documented her pregnancy since revealing in January that she and boyfriend Charles Drury are expecting.

An insider told Heat magazine that she and her baby will be constantly compared to other Towie mums and their kids, such as Sam and Billie Faiers and Ferne McCann.

"It all feels like one big competition between the Towie mums," their source claimed, "and Lauren's not sure she wants to be part of it all anymore."

Her friends have apparently been very supportive of her ideas to step back.

The insider added: "Everyone is really happy that she's taking these concerns seriously - she's dialling down a lot of the media stuff she had planned for after the birth.

"They just hope she keeps such a level head about it - she's going to be a great mum."
