A man accused of murdering French film-maker Laureline Garcia-Bertaux and dumping her body in a shallow grave was due to appear in court for the first time today.

Kirill Belorusov, 32, allegedly strangled the 34-year-old at her home in Kew earlier this month before trying to conceal the body.

Fashion blogger Ms Garcia-Bertaux, who worked with Dame Joan Collins on the 2018 short film Gerry, was reported missing on March 5 by colleagues at PR firm Golin.

Police discovered her body in a shallow grave in her back garden. She had been strangled.

Belorusov, an Estonian national, was detained in Tallinn last week after police issued a European arrest warrant.

He was due to appear at Uxbridge magistrates’ court this morning.
