Laura Whitmore to return to Love Island 'with baby daughter' as show confirmed

After recently giving birth, it was uncertain if Laura Whitmore would present this year's Love Island.

Laura and her husband Iain Stirling, who does the voice over for the ITV show, welcomed a baby girl in the last few weeks.

The couple, who got married last year, are yet to reveal the name for their precious little girl but have already given fans a glimpse of her over on Instagram.

As the ITV hit show is set to return to our screens this summer, Laura wants to be able to present the show and still be able to care for her daughter.

And as the pair are both needed in Mallorca for a summer of love, many were unsure if Laura would be taking part this year.

A source told Heat: "Having a new baby while working is not going to be easy but Laura is determined that she can do both and with Love Island being confirmed in Majorca, her and the baby will likely have to be based there because of travel rules, meaning she can’t fly back and forth."

“But thankfully for her, Iain also works on the show so he’ll be there all the time and they can have their own family bubble and really do some bonding.”

It comes after Laura told the world the couple were "in love" with their new arrival.

She wrote: "Thanks for all the kind messages at this time. We are in love x."

It is not known exactly when Laura welcomed their little girl into the world.

Meanwhile, the date for the summer 2021 series has been pushed back three week and will now start in late June.

A TV source told MailOnline : "Crew members are scheduled to fly out to Majorca on June 20 – with the series expected to launch a week later.

"The delayed launch date will not have an impact on the length of the series, with the show still running for a duration of eight weeks.

"Winter Love Island on the other hand has been 'indefinitely postponed' as bosses put all their energies until the summer series."
