Laura Whitmore shares unseen snap of beloved pet dog 'who played key role at wedding'

Laura Whitmore has revealed that her wedding to Iain Stirling had a starring role for their beloved pet dog Mick.

The Love Island host married Iain, who is the voiceover man on the ITV2 dating show, in a secret ceremony in Dublin in November and they are now expecting a baby.

The 35-year-old TV presenter has now shared an unseen pic from their big day in which Mick is seen running down a marble staircase in Dublin City Hall, in between Laura and Iain.

The happy couple are seen holding hands on the stairs, making an impromptu archway for their pet pooch.

Laura captioned the photo on Instagram : "Happy 6th Birthday Mick! ❤️ There with me every step of the way #mickspics @conormcdphoto."

Laura had shared earlier this year, the news that she and Iain had tied the knot in her native Ireland, wearing a stylish all-white trouser suit for the occasion.

She told her fans on social media: "A year ago Iain asked me to marry him and we had the most magical, perfect ceremony.

"We loved having it to ourselves. We had been planning the perfect celebration and I will forever be so thankful that’s what we got.

"We have never spoken publicly about our engagement or wedding. Back at the time we never felt the need to say anything as it’s all such a personal experience.

"We also were too busy enjoying it! We’ve never shared this picture before now but a lot of people have contacted us and congratulated us the last month with good intentions so here’s to good news!"

She concluded: "Sending love to you and yours and here’s to 2021! Happy new year everyone! Wishing you all the love x."

The pair revealed last month that they are expecting their first child together, posting a photo of a Guns N Roses babygro on Instagram.

She wrote: "I want to now share good news as it’s our news to share - and I’m gonna be honest it’s starting to look like my lock down beer belly is out of control.

"Iain and I are expecting a baby early 2021. It’s been hard to keep such happy news quiet.

"Especially the times when I’ve had to run out of live radio to get sick in a bin or my penchant for a bowl of mashed potato in the morning.

"I wasn’t hungover like everyone thought. In fact I was completely sober filming the entire series of Celeb Juice, which is quite the accolade!"
