The Love Island host made the revelation she was having a baby girl in her new self-help book No One Can Change Your Life Except for You.

She wrote: "As I finish this book, it doesn't end at chapter nine, there's a new chapter coming into my life - in the form of a baby girl currently growing inside me and that scares the s**t out of me.

"I once swallowed a bug and freaked out there was a live bug inside me.

"A live human is a whole new level of freaking out but I am excited because there's a lot of good in the world, there's a lot of potential."

Lorraine Kelly seemed to accidentally let slip the gender of Laura's unborn baby at the time during an interview to promote the book.

She said: "Now this book has come from personal experience, it's lessons that you've learned along the way isn't it?

"And also, advice that you want to pass on to your baby girl."

Laura paused for a few seconds before answering live on-air.

She said: "Yeah... well to my baby, erm, yeah it wasn't necessarily written when I knew I was pregnant so it's not about pregnancy, I'll tell you that now, but there's lot of things in there that I've picked up over the years."
