Laura Whitmore shares first Love Island script as she gears up to host new series

Laura Whitmore is gearing up to host her first ever series of Love Island and has given fans a sneak peek at the new season.

The TV presenter, 34, took to Instagram on Thursday morning to share a picture of the script for the first episode of the show, which airs on Sunday night.

The snap showed a pair of huge mirrored sunglasses and some earphones resting on the script, which had her name and the Love Island logo printed on the front.

A clearly excited Laura, who is replacing Caroline Flack, captioned it with this season's catchphrase writing: "Do one winter!"

The picture was quickly flooded with comments from fans excited for the new series.

"Roll on Sunday... good luck Laura," another posted.

A third wrote: "YES! Can't wait to watch you on it."

Laura is taking over from Caroline, who stepped down after five series after she was charged with assault following an alleged early-morning altercation with her boyfriend Lewis Burton.

Caroline pleaded not guilty when she appeared at Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court last month.

She confirmed that she was standing down from hosting the series, writing on Instagram : "There have been a significant number of media reports and allegations in regard to my personal life.

"While matters were not as have been reported I am committed to co-operating with the appropriate authorities and I can't comment further on these matters until the legal process is over.

"However Love Island has been my world for the last five years, it's the best show on telly. In order not to detract attention from the upcoming series I feel the best thing I can do is stand down from Series 6.

"I want to wish the incredible team working on the show a fantastic series in Cape Town."
