Laura Whitmore parties with husband Iain Stirling at festival after quitting Love Island

Laura Whitmore has been snapped having fun alongside her husband Iain Stirling at a festival after quitting Love Island.

The presenter, 37, stepped down from her Love Island hosting duties earlier this week, saying the travelling to and from South Africa for next year's with series would be too difficult.

And after enjoying her first day off in a 'b****y long time' on Saturday, Laura appeared to be making the most of her free calendar as she joined Iain at the Big Festival at Alex James’ Farm in the Cotswolds where Laura was hosting the main stage.

Laura, who welcomed her daughter Stevie last year with Iain, appeared to be making the most of her reduced work schedule as she enjoyed the festival.

She appeared in high spirits as she held hands with voice-over presenter Iain, with the couple beaming at each other thorough their shades.

Laura looked stunning in an off-shoulder floral mini dress and trainers, while Iain wore a simple black trousers and white T-shirt combo.

His accessory choice suggested their daughter had joined them for the day as he wore her tiny blue sunglasses tucked into the neck of his t-shirt.

Laura didn’t post any snaps of little Stevie, who is rarely seen on the couple’s social media, but posted a snap of a festival T-shirt on her Instagram Story and wrote: “Just bought my kid’s first festival merch… and realised my name is on it! Kinda cool.”

Their family outing comes after the Mirror exclusively revealed the former Love Island host will earn up to £20,000 a week after swapping the villa for the West End stage.

Laura landed a role in 2:22 A Ghost Story when she quit the ITV reality show. And she will earn big bucks from up to eight performances a week at London’s Criterion theatre.

An industry booker told us: “Laura has inked herself a very good deal.

“She will be on around £2,500 per show if things go well. She’ll have signed something like a £1,500 per performance deal.

"It will be tiered so when sales hit 70% capacity, she will get another £500 and when they reach 85%, another £500.”

The star will step into some big shoes when she starts treading the boards in September as Jenny – a role previously played by singer Lily Allen.

But Laura, who has also dropped her Sunday morning show on BBC Radio 5 Live, seemed undaunted when she announced her new gig on Instagram .

She wrote: “Come see me on stage making my West End debut in this critically acclaimed psychological thriller… Book now!”

Laura, who joined Love Island in 2020, revealed she was leaving the show this week.

She said she found “certain elements of the show very difficult including the flying back and forth to South Africa”.
