Laura Whitmore defends herself after fan criticises her 'dangerous' baby blanket

Love Island TV presenter Laura Whitmore hit back after she was criticised for covering her baby basket with a blanket in the hot sun.

New mum Laura was on a relaxed day out with her husband and fellow Love Island star Edinburgh's Ian Stirling ahead of their new Love Island filming and had what looked like their baby girl in a basket covered by a white blanket.

As they sat on the grass for their picnic in the park, Laura wrote: "Park life! Have a great week everyone."

One follower told her they were worried about her covering up her baby daughter in the heat, reports the Daily Record.

They said: "Loving the summer vibe but please don’t cover the baby with blanket traps heat."

And another said: "It's actually extremely dangerous."

However, others defended the presenter's decision.

On said: "It's to protect her and don't tell Laura how to parent."

And another chipped in: "It’s not a blanket though. A muslin cover/mosquito net to protect the baby."

Laura didn't respond directly to the comments but did share a message from a fan apologising for sticking their beak in.

She wrote underneath:" No judgement just positivity."

And she responded to a fan who said: "Gorgeous! Our little one is due imminently and I can’t wait to get a load of advice that I didn’t ask for."

Laura replied: "It’s like being ripped in half!"
