Laura Whitmore attends Brit Awards days after tearful tribute to late friend Caroline Flack

Laura Whitmore stepped out on the Brits red carpet on Tuesday night, three days after the death of close pal Caroline Flack and two since her heartbreaking live on air tribute to her late friend.

Love Island host Laura was one of many stars who descended on London's O2 Arena for the annual bash, taking to the Brits Red Carpet in a short newsprint dress as many others including Lizzo, Billie Eilish, Ellie Goulding, Abbey Clancy, Sir Tom Jones and Lewis Capaldi all too struck a pose for the awaiting photographers.

Prior to the event, Laura posted on social media that 'Sometimes you just need to put on your dancing shoes’ and she certainly looked the part in a glittery mini dress with a newspaper motif.

Following Caroline's death at age of 40 on Saturday, Laura began her BBC radio show on Sunday morning with a poignant tribute to her friend, saying: "Anyone who knew Caroline knew she was vivacious, loving and had a passion for life, which is why none of this makes sense. ‘You don’t have to tear down someone to feel good about yourself.

"So to listeners, be kind, only you are responsible for how you treat others and what you put out to the world.’

"Caroline loved love. That’s all she wanted, which is why Love Island is so important to her because the show is about finding love, friendship, having a laugh.

"The problem wasn’t the show, the show to work on is loving, and caring and safe, and protective. The problem is the outside world is not."
