Love Island hosts Laura Whitmore and Iain Stirling enjoyed a break to Edinburgh where they tucked into the traditional delicacy of a 'deep fried mars bar' but with a twist.
The pair visited Iain's hometown on what should have been the month of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, but instead opted to eat out in one of the capital's most loved restaraunts.
Laura and Iain visited Six By Nico on Hanover Street to test out the famous 'Chippie 2.0 menu'.
The Chippie 2.0 was the first theme introduced to launch the Glasgow Finnieston restaurant in 2017 and Edinburgh City Centre restaurant in 2018.
"Elevated and refined" and designed to be a bit of nostalgia, items on the menu include versions of Chips & Cheese, steak pie and of course the fish supper, all with a modern twist.
One returning item from the original menu which proved very popular was the re-imagined Deep Fried Mars Bar which Laura and Iain appeared to be extremely happy about.
The TV couple, who got engaged in May, were delighted to get out and about after being cooped up at home during lockdown.
The pair had been keeping followers amused with their hilarious antics on social media, including rather a few impressive TikTok dance challenges.
Iain, who has been the voiceover man on the ITV2 reality dating show since its revival in 2015, proposed to the TV beauty, 34, in South Africa - where they filmed Winter Love Island, according to The Mirror.
After they wrapped filming on the show they remained in the sunny destination.
The publication details that the comedian asked for her hand in marriage by presenting her with a yellow diamond ring he had designed.
