Laura Whitmore and Dermot O'Leary back Choose Love NHS T-shirt fundraising campaign

Stars including Laura Whitmore and Dermot O'Leary  are throwing their weight behind a new range of fundraising T-shirts to support frontline workers.

All profits from every sale will be donated to the Care Workers Charity and NHS Charities Together.

Bosses at online fashion retainer ASOS, which is selling the snazzy new Choose Love tops, are going to match the money raised to double the total going to good causes.

Dame Judi Dench, Rupert Grint and Riz Ahmed, Daisy Lowe and Bake Off star Noel Fielding are also among the stars who have pledged their support.

Designed by Katharine Hamnett, the new range replicates the iconic Choose Love T-shirts, with new slogans Choose Our Carers and Choose Our NHS.

Dermot explained why he decided to get behind the idea.

He said: "Like most people I'm in awe of the frontline workers whose courage and dedication is holding the UK together.

"These tees are raising vital funds for incredible charities that are supporting these carers and NHS workers at this difficult time.

"I'm wearing mine to show gratitude and appreciation for everyone working so hard to keep us safe - buy one, you'll look great, and will be loved by everyone... guaranteed."

Game of Thrones actress Lena Headey, 46, is also on board and she said: “Choose Love has always been a symbol of love and compassion.

"I’m wearing this T-shirt to show my appreciation for care workers and NHS staff, you can do the same, it’ll make a big difference to those who continue to work so hard in dangerous, emotionally challenging situations."

Suki Waterhouse, Chris O’Dowd, Dawn Porter and Annie Mac are also on board.

Each T-shirt in the range will cost £20, and with all net profits donated to the Care Workers Charity and NHS Charities Together.

Karolina Gerlich, Chief Executive of the Care Workers Charity, added: "Up and down the country, care workers are going above and beyond to provide compassionate care to the most vulnerable in society.

"We’re delighted that the launch of the Choose Our Carers t-shirt will provide additional financial support and grants to our incredible care workers."
