Laura Tobin pens heartbreaking letter about daughter's future amid climate crisis

Laura Tobin has penned a heartbreakingly beautiful letter to her four-year-old daughter about the devastating effects of climate change and global warming.

The 40-year-old broadcast meteorologist shared her hopes that her little girl, Charlotte, will one day be lucky enough to see the wonders of the world as the catastrophic damage to the planet continues amid the current climate crisis.

The ITV star detailed her hopes for Charlotte's future, but also her fears as she shared her knowledge about the demise of the planet's overall health as humans continue to 'ruin' earth.

Laura included the emotional letter to her daughter in her brand-new book, Every Day Ways To Save Our Planet.

The proud mum described her four-year-old daughter as 'the wonder of her world' as she gushed about her eco-friendly four-year-old who knows more about climate change than a huge handful of grown adults.

Laura gushed: "They say there are seven wonders of the world, but to me, there is only one - you.

"On this whole amazing planet, you are the most special thing of all in my eyes."

Laura went on to share some heartbreaking statistics about the demise of the planet's health as she shared her concerns for her daughter's future.

"Most of the original wonders aren't 'wonderful' anymore because they have been destroyed or left in ruins," the ITV star penned.

The broadcast meteorologist insisted that she will do everything in her power to make the world a better place for her daughter, and hopes that in time, the damage that has been done to the planet can one day be reversed by the actions of people who take being eco-friendly seriously.

"This letter is to tell you that I will do everything I can to make sure that you can see all the wonders of our world has to offer," the loving mum wrote.

"I want your eyes wide open at all the new things you see and for those memories to last a lifetime.

"I'm sad that some things may only be alive in stories, photos, or memories of other people. Will you see the polar bears and reindeers or will they be long gone? It's not too late to rewrite the end of the story and I want to do that for you, so you can see the world in all it's glory, with all the tiny islands, all the beautiful plants, and all the amazing animals.

"I'm sorry that we have known for so long that our planet is overheating because of our actions. Sorry that the ice is melting and the seas are rising. Sorry that millions of people are having to move away from their homes because of the impact of climate change - because of heatwaves, wildfires and floods.

"Sorry that in the short span of our life so far our planet is the hottest in human history. Sorry that by 2050 all the plastic in the oceans will weigh more more than all the fish unless we take urgent action. Sorry that we think it's okay to throw rubbish on the ground.

"Sorry that we are not kinder to out planet - it's the only one we have and we should look after it as carefully as I look after you."

The proud mum vowed to help save the planet by encouraging others to listen to scientists and take action.

"Charlotte, I love you and our planet. I want to protect you and I want to protect it too. I do all of this for you," Laura penned.
