Laura Marling and James Acaster announced for CALM fundraiser at Flat Iron Square

Laura Marling and James Acaster have been announced as the headline acts for a mental health fundraiser in London Bridge next month.

The events, which will take place on December 16 across Flat Iron Square and nearby venue Omeara, will raise money for the Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), a charity dedicated to preventing male suicide.

Folk artist Marling will top the bill on a night of music in Omeara, which will also feature an acoustic set from Mystery Jets. There will be short performances by Bears Den, The Staves, and Lewis Capaldi throughout the night.

At the same time, Acaster will lead the comedy line-up at Après London, the ski chalet in Flat Iron Square. Stephen Bailey, Sophie Duker, Pierre Novellie and Suzi Ruffell complete the bill, with Jarlath Regan acting as MC.

Tickets for both shows will be available from 10am on Wednesday November 7 and can be obtained through a £5 ballot — which can be entered multiple times — with winners selected at random and offered two tickets each. Sign up to the ballot here.

Stephen Gunning, CEO of CALM, said: “Suicide remains the single biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK, but events like this enable us to engage an audience in this issue while raising the funds that will allow us to continue supporting men who may be going through a tough time in their lives.”
