Laura Anderson has revealed that her dog, Buddy, bit her baby daughter Bonnie twice — prompting a difficult decision to temporarily rehome the pet while her family adjusts.
The former Love Island star, who rose to fame on the ITV2 show in 2018 before appearances on Celebs Go Dating and Celebrity Karaoke Club, became a mum last September after welcoming her first child with ex-partner, Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy.
Now preparing to move out of the flat she’s lived in for the past two years, Laura, 34, opened up about the incident on Instagram.
The TV star said the bites happened during the early months of Bonnie’s life and that Buddy had struggled to adjust to having a baby in their small flat.
“He actually bit Bonnie twice,” Laura said in a video posted from her bed, explaining that the confined layout of her old flat had made it hard to separate her baby and her dog.
“It was just really difficult… when she was really young, it was just so difficult.”

Buddy, who Laura adopted in 2018, has been living with her aunt for the past two months.
But now, with a move to a larger home on the horizon, Laura says she’s excited to reunite the two in a more manageable environment. “They’ve met up a couple of times and are getting on good. And Buddy’s going to love the garden too.”
She added that her new house will offer plenty of space for both Bonnie and Buddy to thrive, saying she’s excited to get Bonnie a swing set for the garden.
Laura has previously spoken about Buddy’s struggles adapting to life after the baby’s arrival.
In March 2023, she shocked followers by admitting he had urinated on Bonnie, prompting concern from fans about his behaviour and the risks of resentment in pets around infants.
At the time, she acknowledged the challenge: “He’s been a nightmare… doing the toilet inside for attention. I’ve enough s**t to clean up.”
Despite this, she expressed understanding, noting Buddy likely felt left out.
As she prepares for her fresh start in a bigger home, Laura said she’s hopeful the added space will improve the dynamic between her daughter and beloved dog.
