Laura Anderson hints Greg O'Shea is fake and used Amber Gill to win Love Island

Ex Love Islander Laura Anderson has hinted Greg O'Shea was in a fake relationship with Amber Gill.

Show alumni Laura was perhaps drawing on experience after coming second in 2018 with "the hunk in trunks" Paul Knops - he dumped her eight weeks later.

Greg, like model Paul, was hit with allegations he stuck with Amber to win the show - and rode on the coat tails of her fame.

In a cryptic Instagram video addressing Amber and Greg's split Laura says "people aren't always what they seem".

She said: "I just thought i would say i know there have been a few break ups in the press and people think it’s funny or whatever.

"It’s not, its really difficult.

"Please bear in mind these people have feelings and they can read it and see it.

"It’s real life and real hearts, not everything is what it seems and not every body is what they seem

"You think you know someone and stuff like this happens and you are so embarrassed.

"Just be nice - I shall say no more."

In a brutal interview with The Sun, Laura's ex Paul said: "It was my decision to split from Laura.

"We weren’t compatible for each other. I knew I had to be 100 per cent sure about it because you know – the next person you’re with could potentially be your wife; you don’t want to be unsure about it.

"Of course she was upset; there were tears."

Greg said Amber had been going to lots of events (Instagram)

Speaking about his split from Amber, rugby player Greg explained: "Me and Amber have been chatting the last few days and the whole thing about [breaking up] over text isn't true.

"But we need to be realistic about the situation, and the fact she's in the UK.

"We're both so busy and we need to take these opportunities and protecting our careers.

"She has every brand wanting to work with her, and I'm trying to make the team for the Olympics with the Ireland 7s.

"It was over a long time, it wasn't just one text."
