It's an easy task to forget at the best of times, but you should probably be changing your bed sheets more often than you already are.
While there's nothing better than hopping into a bed full of fresh sheets after sprucing up your bedroom, experts have claimed that the average person is not washing their bed linen enough.
Although busy schedules can sometimes get in the way of giving your bed a refresh, experts at the Sleep Foundation have revealed that we should all be washing our bed sheets at least once a week - insisting that every couple of weeks doesn't cut it.
And in some cases, you should be washing your sheets even more than the recommended amount of once a week.
Experts have suggested that someone who suffers from asthma or allergies should wash their sheets more frequently to improve overall wellbeing.

And if you're someone who sleeps with a beloved dog or cat, then you should consider throwing your sheets in the washing up to twice a week to get rid of germs and bacteria that your furry friends may have carried from their outdoor adventures.
If you're someone who likes to eat snacks when in bed, you should also be washing your sheets more than once a week.
And people who go to bed without showering, or people who sleep naked, should also follow suit and stock up on some extra washing powder.
The biggest mistake many of us make is leaving our bedding on for more than a week, as they warn it leads to us 'sleeping while surrounded by body oils, bacteria, dead skin cells, and dust mites'.
Keeping your bed clean and hygienic can help thwart germs and allergens, and has even been found to help you sleep better.
When it comes to your duvet, it doesn't need washing as often as your sheets, but it's always good to give them a good clean every now and then - ideally every two months.
Pillows should be washed at the same time, and the mattress itself should be given a clean down once a year.
According to recent research, 78% of people are more excited to go to bed when their sheets are fresh and smell good.
So, it's time to get washing.
