Launch of the Daily Post Business Awards

The Daily Post/North Wales Live Business Awards 2022 has launched - with the search on to find the region’s business champions.

The prestigious awards – backed by headline sponsor Bangor University – celebrate and recognise every type of business, from one person start-ups to the industry giants of the region.

These awards offer firms an opportunity to feature in Wales’s biggest selling regional newspaper as one of the area’s success stories - as well as online on North Wales Live and Business Live, who support the awards.

The Daily Post Business Awards ceremony will take place on Thursday December 1 at Bangor University’s grand Pritchard Jones Hall.

This year there are 10 separate categories - from Start-Up of the year to our green champions. People can enter here.

The awards are also being supported by category sponsors Adra, Development Bank of Wales, St David’s College, Busnes@LlandrilloMenai, Cartrefi Conwy, Harlech Foodservice and Bla Translation.

Chris Drew, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Bangor University, said: “The University is delighted to, once again, be the lead sponsor for this year’s Daily Post Business Awards.

“These awards highlight the excellence across all aspects of the region’s businesses but also their engagement with the communities around them. The University’s Pritchard Jones Hall will again host the event which celebrates success across the whole of North Wales.

“This year, to mark the announcement of the new Medical School for North Wales, the University is sponsoring an award focussed on innovation in the Health and Life Sciences. These businesses span many sectors but will be key to our region’s future.”

Daily Post brand editor Dion Jones said: “We are delighted to once again launch the Daily Post Business Awards to celebrate the thriving and resilient business community in North Wales.

“We look forward to hearing how our inspiring entrepreneurs have continued to grow and innovate despite the many challenges and cannot wait to celebrate our winners on December 1.”
