Laughs guaranteed at Rewind Festival

Rewind Scotland has not only got huge music acts from the 80s, it has a comedy side too and organisers announced today that topping the bill for laughs at the event in Scone will be Phill Jupitus.

Appearing alongside legendary music acts like Bryan Ferry, Foreigner and Lulu, festival goers coming to Scone Palace for the July 19-21 will be treated to comedy by stand-up star Phill Jupitus, Jimeoin and Christopher MacArthur, Emmanuel Sonubi and Perth’s own Fred MacAulay.

Phill Jupitus, a regular at The Edinburgh Festival Fringe and long-running team captain on BBC Two’s pop quiz Never Mind The Buzzcocks, will be headlining Rewind Scotland’s comedy roster on Saturday, July 20.

Rewind Scotland says 2019 will see its biggest comedy line-up yet, with some of the best-loved names in the game performing at the festival for the first time.

Katt Lingard, Rewind Festival’s event manager, said: “We were blown away by the audience reaction to our comedians last year. At every festival, the Forever Stage was completely packed out with people queuing up for some laughs. We’ve added even more comedians to the bill this year, and we can’t wait to give them an incredible Rewind welcome this summer.”
