Laugh In The Park returning to Glasgow this summer with some of Scotland's best comics

Laugh In The Park will return to the city this summer with some of the country's best comics set to take to the stage.

The festival will showcase a side-splitting line up this June at Queen's Park in the heart of the south site, with the park's bandstand acting as a unique outdoor venue.

Returning for the second edition of the festival, organisers say this year will be bigger and better than before, with many of Scotland's top comedy acts scheduled to take part - alongside some rising Scottish stars.

When is it?

Laugh In The Park returns to the city on Saturday, June 11.

Who is performing?

Hosted by Billy Kirkwood, who recently won big at the Scottish Comedy Awards, the lineup boasts some of Scotland's brightest comedy stars including Viv Gee, Stephen Buchanan and Scottish Comedian of the Year 2021 finalist MC Hammersmith.

There will also be a host of rising Scottish comics including Mikey Motion, Rachel Jackson and Rosco McClelland.

Where is it?

Performances are taking place in Queens Park in the heart of Glasgow’s south side. The park's bandstand will act as a unique outdoor venue with some 500 people expected to attend.

What's being said about this year's festival?

Organisers said they were delighted to bring the festival back after the "roaring success" last year.

"The festival was founded last summer in between lockdowns and was a roaring success and the highlight of last year’s comedy shows," they said.

"The debut event sold out within a few hours and proved to be a sunny evening packed with award winning comedy from some of Scotland finest comics."

Organisers added that Laugh In the Park plans hopes to be "a permanent fixture in the calendar as a celebration of the wealth of talent in Scottish comedy".

They said: "Our line‐up consists of seven of the absolute best performers to be found in Scotland and we promise you 2.5 hours of award winning, side splitting comedy."

How do I get tickets?

Tickets will be sold in seating bubbles of two, four, six eight and go on sale on tomorrow (Friday May 6) at midday.
