It’s set to be one of the UK’s first major music festivals of the year, and now Latitude has announced its line-up.

Wolf Alice, The Chemical Brothers, Bastille and Bombay Bicycle Club will top the bill of the Suffolk festival, which returns to Henham Park from July 22 to 25.

Elsewhere, there will be sets from Rudimental, Kaiser Chiefs, Mabel, Rick Astley, Fontaines D.C. and Hot Chip, among many others.

On the comedy front, there will be appearances from Bill Bailey, Jo Brand, Simon Amstell, Reginald D Hunter, Katherine Ryan and other comics, whole the the Literature and Arts portion of the line-up will welcome speakers including John Cooper Clarke, Jess Phillips MP and Akala.

With limits of social gatherings set to be lifted by June 21 at the earliest, organisers have confirmed that Latitude aims to welcome a full-capacity crowd in July.

Vaccination “won’t be mandatory” for those attending, organisers added, “but we will be testing to ensure those without vaccination are Covid clear before they enter the festival”. Full details on safety and testing procedures will be announced prior to the event.

It will therefore follow in the footsteps of a string of successful pilot events run by the Government’s Event Research Programme, in which attendees are tested before and after, but do not have to wear masks or socially distance during the festival.

Next month, a pilot camping festival will take place in the form of a 10,000-capacity event run by Download festival.
