The ACT had its first day with no new cases of COVID-19, but authorities say it will be a long time before restrictions are lifted.
The national rate of increase has also slowed, to 2 per cent, from 12 per cent a week earlier.
As at 3pm on 6 April 2020, a total of 5,795 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in Australia, including 39 deaths.

The national cabinet is meeting today, with state and federal leaders expected to consider relief for commercial tenants and to discuss modelling of the spread of the coronavirus in Australia.
