Jose Mourinho could have a big job on his hands when he gets the chance to dip into the transfer market this summer.
With his Tottenham Hotspur side struggling to qualify for Europe this season, the Portuguese may find it harder to attract players to north London.
But that hasn’t stopped the rumours circulating over the possible ins and outs we could see at Spurs once the Premier League season finishes.
Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Spurs eyeing up Lille’s Ikone
Tottenham are looking to sign Lille forward Jonathan Ikone, according to reports in France.
The 22-year-old is valued at around £32million and has three years left on his contract in Ligue 1, but could leave this summer in the event of a ‘significant offer’.
According to French journalist Julien Maynard, Spurs will be looking to prize Ikone away from Lille this summer as Jose Mourinho looks to strengthen his squad.
He could face some competition for the France international, with Newcastle United having also reportedly made an enquiry.
Castagne set for talks
Having been linked with a move to north London, Timothy Castagne is now reportedly set to hold transfer talks with Jose Mourinho.
The Atalanta fullback is being linked with a move away from Serie A this summer, with Leicester City and PSG also linked to his signature.
Castagne has impressed with Atalanta, especially during the Italian side’s run in the Champions League this season.
And, according to Le10 Sport, the Belgium international is now set to speak to the Spurs manager before making a decision on his future.
Schalke defender close to move
Reports in Turkey have suggested Spurs are closing in on the signing of Schalke defender Ozan Kabak.
The Turkish international has plied his trade in Germany since 2019, having originally made the move to Stuttgart in January of that year.
He has been previously linked with a move to the Premier League though, and journalist Mehmet Demirkol has claimed Spurs are close to securing his services.
“He has developed into a great centre back,” Demirkol said. “And I heard that he’s on his way to Tottenham this season.”
