Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Spurs make £32m Skriniar bid, striker target Spurs move

Tottenham Hotspur will be looking to build on Sunday's emphatic 5-2 victory over Southampton when they travel to Macedonia to face KF Shkendija in their Europa League third qualifying round fixture on Thursday evening.

After sneaking past Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the second round last Thursday, Spurs will be aiming to take another giant stride towards the Europa League proper against Shkendija.

There is currently a buzz around Spurs at the moment, with the club having recently sealed the return of Gareth Bale on a season-long loan from Real Madrid and fellow Madrid ace Sergio Reguilon, who has joined the club on a long-term deal.

But despite having signed five big-name players so far during this window, Spurs are keen to add more to their ranks, especially a striker to add some much-needed competition to Harry Kane.

Jose Mourinho amazing gesture to Macedonian journalist

With that in mind, here is a round-up of the very latest Spurs transfer gossip and rumours.

Aurier rejects Spurs exit

Right-back Serge Aurier has turned down the opportunity to leave the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and join Spartak Moscow, a report by Football Insider claims.

The former Paris Saint-Germain defender has fallen down the pecking order in the North London following the arrival of Matt Doherty from Wolverhampton Wanderers last month.

Boss Jose Mourinho, who saw his side's Carabao Cup third round clash with Leyton Orient cancelled on Tuesday evening following an outbreak of Covid-19 within the League Two club, had given the green light for Aurier to leave, following the arrival of Doherty.

However, despite Daniel Levy - the Spurs chairman - putting a deal in place for the £15million-rated defender to leave, Aurier rejected the chance to join the Russian heavyweights.

Spurs make opening Skriniar bid

Having added left-back Reguilon to their ranks within the last week, Spurs are now looking to bolster their central-defensive options with the addition of Inter Milan centre-back Milan Skriniar.

According to Sport Mediaset, the North London club have lodged an opening bid of £32million for the highly-rated defender, as Mourinho looks to beef up his defensive options.

Tottenham are light on numbers at centre-back following the exit of Jan Vertonghen at the end of last season, with only Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier and Davinson Sanchez their only seasoned centre-backs.

Though Spurs' reported opening offer of £32million is well below Inter's £50million valuation, the clubs are poised to hold talks over the coming days in an effort to try and reach an agreement.

Striker eyes Spurs switch

FC Metz striker Habib Diallo is keen on securing a move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before the transfer window closes, a report by L'Equipe, via Sport Witness claims.

Mourinho has been on the hunt for a striker ever since he arrived in North London not too far off a year ago, as he looks to add some much-needed competition at the top end of the pitch to ease the pressure off of Kane's shoulders.

And despite having been linked with a whole host of names, both at home and abroad, it is Metz ace Diallo that could be Spurs' ideal solution.

That is because the striker is reportedly keen on joining Tottenham, with it claimed that joining the Londoners is his 'priority.'
