Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Spurs hold Josh King talks, Paulo Gazzaniga targeted

The Premier League transfer window remains in full swing - and it’s not just Chelsea who are getting deals done this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have been working hard to improve ahead of the start of the new season with Jose Mourinho this weekend welcoming Wolves star Matt Doherty to North London.

But what else is on the horizon for Spurs? Here are today’s big transfer stories...

Josh King 'holds Tottenham Hotspur talks'

Tottenham have held talks with Bournemouth forward and ex-Manchester United transfer target Joshua King.

That's according to a report by ChronicleLive who claim to understand that King's representative, Jim Solbakken, caught a flight to London on Thursday to hold discussions with Spurs.

Mourinho has signed players with plenty of Premier League experiences this summer, so far landing Joe Hart, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg and Doherty.

And King could become the latest addition should said talks prove constructive.

Donny van de Beek close to Manchester United switch

Tottenham target Donny van de Beek has already told his Ajax teammates that he is joining Manchester United this summer, claim reports in Spain.

The attacking midfielder, 23, has been linked with a number of clubs this summer including Barcelona and Real Madrid.

But according to reports in Spanish by Diario Sport, Van de Beek has bid his teammates farewell and will fly to Manchester next week.

That would come as a huge blow for Spurs who are said to be monitoring van de Beek closely this summer.

Paulo Gazzaniga attracting international interest

Argentine outfit Independiente are keen on landing Tottenham goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, says their sporting director Jorge Burruchaga.

Speaking to Radio Colonia, Burruchaga revealed Gazzaniga as a target and said: "We are talking, as well as other players. [Lucas] Pusineri (Independiente manager) wants a goalkeeper, but what happens is that some cost more than others, like everything."

He added: "We are looking and seeing what we can do to please the coach without neglecting the economic.”

Mourinho has already landed a goalkeeper this summer, Hart, only further damaging Gazzaniga's chances of getting regular football next term.
