Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Spurs handed £60m transfer demand, £45m midfielder scouted

The summer transfer window is closing in at a rate of knots as the Premier League season starts to wind up.

Spurs look set to secure the top four spot that would give them the sway of Champions League football to tempt any potential signings.

And this time Spurs actually look like they might make some signings, after two windows without spending anything at all.

With the possibility of some new players gracing the turf of the new stadium next season here are some of today's biggest Spurs transfer rumours:

Mauricio Pochettino reveals what the referee said to him during the Jan Vertonghen incident

Donny van de Beek

Spurs got a close look at Donny van de Beek at the new stadium last week and now the  Daily Mail  are reporting that the Ajax man is being watched by Spurs as a possible replacement for Christian Eriksen.

They say that the attacking midfielder would be available for £45 million and if Van de Beek opts for Premier League football next season Spurs would be in pole position to sign him due to their good relationship with Ajax.

Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested in the £45 million man.

The nightmare scenario Barcelona, Arsenal and Benfica can hand Tottenham in the Champions League

Matthijs de Ligt

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus will look to prioritise Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot and Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt this summer.

The recently crowned Serie A champions are looking to freshen up their squad after falling short in the Champions League.

And the Bianconeri are ready to make a move for the duo, who have also been linked with a host of clubs including Barcelona and Tottenham.

The report claims Juve are also interested in James Rodriguez, who has been on loan at Bayern Munich from Real Madrid for the past two seasons.

Jack Grealish

Jack Grealish’s buyout clause stands at an eye-watering £60 million according to the  Mirror .

Considering that Tottenham were put off by the £25 million asking price last summer this is unlikely to be good news for Spurs fans who want to see him in a white shirt in N17.

However, the report does offer some positives, apparently Grealish is likely to be one of the players sold off by the club if they fail to get through the playoffs so that they can comply with the Football League’s profit and sustainability rules.

The report doesn’t make it clear how much they might try and sell him for though.
