Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Spurs face Lo Celso blow as Arsenal close in on Pepe deal

There are now less than two weeks left in the transfer window - and Tottenham are reportedly still hoping to complete a few more deals.

Spurs have already signed Jack Clarke from Leeds United and Tanguy Ndombele in a club record move from Lyon, but the Lilywhites continue to be linked with a number of other players as well.

As such, there could still be several incomings and outgoings.

Below, we take a look at the latest transfer rumours involving players who could arrive - and leave.

Giovani Lo Celso

Spurs face competition for Giovani Lo Celso in the form of Atletico Madrid and Napoli.

According to  Estadio Deportivo , the midfielder is set to return to training with Real Betis on Wednesday with no move yet advanced enough for a medical to take place.

Spurs are currently favourites to land the Argentina international, and Betis need to sell the midfielder as he and recent signing Nabil Fekir are “virtually unfeasible” on their budget. The Spanish side are said to value him at around €60m.

Atletico were keen on a move for James Rodriguez from rivals Real Madrid, but now he is staying at the Bernabeu, they have reportedly turned their attention to Lo Celso.

Napoli, meanwhile, look set to lose out on a move for Nicolas Pepe to Spurs’ rivals Arsenal, which could lead to a move for the Argentina international.

Paulo Dybala

Juventus have reportedly set their price for Paulo Dybala, with Spurs and Man United tracking the attacker.

The Serie A side are keen on Romelu Lukaku, and thus hopeful that a swap deal can be organised. According to Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia ( via Football Italia ), Juve are preparing a proposal to United.

They value the Argentina international at €100m, while United want around €85m for Lukaku - meaning United would have to pay an extra €10m-€15m to get a deal done.

football.london  understands that  Spurs have been in contact with Juventus about a possible deal  for the 25-year-old, while the club’s vice-president  Pavel Nedved revealed that they have received proposals for the forward .

Gareth Bale

Gareth Bale’s relationship with Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is said to be “irretrievable”.

Sky Sports state that the club had hoped the relationship between the pair could be fixed on their pre-season tour of the US, with Bale staying at the Bernabeu.

However, this has not been the case with the Welsh star looking set to seal a move to China. But Real reportedly called off the deal due to the lack of a transfer fee for the 30-year-old.

The Madrid media state that Bale’s family warned him off a move to China, while the  Standard  state that club president Florentino Perez has concerns about Zidane, and is instead backing Bale to outlast the French coach.

Zidane returned to the club in March, and his side won just one of their last five matches with Bale frozen out of the team and the manager admitting he had trouble motivating his men.
