Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Spurs eye £50m deal & are 'very close' on Eriksen replacement

The summer transfer window is now open and Tottenham Hotspur are looking to complete some business.

After reaching the Champions League final , where Tottenham lost out 2-0 against Liverpool in Madrid, Spurs are now looking to strengthen ahead of their first full season in their new stadium.

And there have been plenty of rumours linking them with players from across Europe, with the summer window shaping up to be a busy one for Daniel Levy and Mauricio Pochettino.

Below, we take a look at the latest transfer rumours surrounding Tottenham.

Tanguy Ndombele

Spurs have been heavily linked with the Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele this summer.

He has been likened to Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, and has impressed with the Ligue 1 side.

Reports in France suggest that Lyon want £70m for the midfielder, but  The Sun  reports that Spurs are hopeful of agreeing a £50m deal.

Bruno Fernandes

The Sun also reports that Tottenham are hopeful of a £71million deal to sign Bruno Fernandes, with Portugese publication Record claiming that a deal could be 'very close'.

The 24-year-old has been in superb form for Sporting Lisbon, being involved in 50 goals for the Portuguese side this season.

Fernandes, who is reportedly seen as a potential replacement for Christian Eriksen, netted 32 times during the campaign and is in the Portugal squad for the UEFA Nations League, with the hosts taking on Holland in the final tonight (Sunday).

However, Spurs also face competition from Manchester United.

Eric Dier

Manchester United have been linked with a surprise move for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier.

The Times are reporting that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is looking at the England international as an option in midfield as he looks to add to his squad, following the arrival of Daniel James from Swansea City earlier this week.

Dier only made 18 appearances for Spurs last season and could be allowed to leave this summer, with Solskjaer reportedly seeing the 25-year-old as an upgrade on Nemanja Matic.

Christian Eriksen

The Danish international has made it clear that it may be time for a new challenge this summer, having been a key part of Spurs' side in recent seasons.

He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, and the Independent are reporting that the La Liga giants could be prioritising Eriksen over Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, having completed the signing of Eden Hazard from Chelsea on Friday night.

Real Madrid have spent almost £200m on Hazard and Luka Jovic already this summer, and the Independent reports that Eriksen could be a cheaper alternative to Pogba, having expressed a desire to leave Spurs.
