Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Spurs dealt Fraser blow, Lamela exit key to Willian pursuit

The summer transfer window is set to open soon, although there are plenty of details that still need to be decided upon.

With the Premier League set to restart on June 17, the end of the current season looks set to clash with the opening of the transfer window on June 10.

It means Tottenham Hotspur could well have to do some business while they continue their push for Europe, and if the rumours are anything to go by, there could be plenty in the pipeline.

Here are the latest transfer rumours and gossip coming from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium…

Bournemouth push for Fraser extension

Bournemouth are hoping to persuade Ryan Fraser to extend his contract beyond June 30 in order for him to help them stay in the Premier League.

The Scotland international is free to sign for another club when his current deal runs out, with Spurs among the clubs interested in the 26-year-old.

Arsenal, Newcastle United, Watford and Crystal Palace have also reportedly shown an interest, although Mail Online have said Bournemouth hope to keep Fraser until at least the current season is concluded.

Bournemouth are currently in the bottom three of the Premier League, and losing Fraser after only two matches of the restart would be a major blow for Eddie Howe’s side.

Lamela to make way for Willian

Tottenham will only pursue Willian if they are able to offload Erik Lamela first, reports the Daily Star.

Jose Mourinho has been linked with a reunion with the Brazil international, who he signed during his second stint as Chelsea manager.

But, according to sources close to the Spurs hierarchy, the Portuguese has been told he must sell first before being able to bring Willian to North London.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is reportedly not prepared to sanction the signing of the winger, who earns £120,000 a week, despite him being a free transfer at the end of the 2019/20 season.

Newcastle join race for Eze

Newcastle United are the latest club reported to be monitoring QPR’s highly-rated Eberechi Eze.

The attacking midfielder has attracted plenty of interest with his performances in the Championship this season, and Spurs – as well as West Ham – have been keeping tracks on him.

And, according to ChronicleLive, the Magpies are also in the running, despite the ongoing uncertainty over the takeover bid at St James’ Park.

It is thought Eze would tick boxes for any potential owners, having been identified by Newcastle’s talent spotters as a young player with potential to make an impact in the Premier League.
