Tottenham will be desperate to improve on last season’s sixth-place finish in the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho will be preparing for his first full season in charge at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and will be aiming to get Spurs closer to the top four places.
Spurs have been busy trying to improve their squad - with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart and Matt Doherty all already being signed.
With that being said, it seems Spurs are still looking at other potential additions, as you can see in today’s rumour round-up.
Spurs consider shock move for Watford midfielder
Tottenham are considering a shock £13 million move for Watford midfielder Will Hughes, according to a report in the Daily Mirror.
The Hornets are struggling to keep their key players following the club’s relegation down to the Championship.
Spurs need to move on the likes of Juan Foyth, Serge Aurier and Danny Rose in order to raise funds to sign Hughes, the report states.
Hughes is seen as a strong option for Mourinho’s squad, especially because he can boost Spurs’ homegrown quota.
Tottenham cool Wilson interest
Tottenham have cooled their interest in Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson, and have moved onto Habib Diallo, football.London understands.
Spurs want another striker in order to provide support to Harry Kane, after the side failed to replace Fernando Llorente after he left last summer.
Metz striker Diallo is top of Spurs’ transfer shortlist, which has coincided with Mourinho’s side cooling their interest in Wilson.
Diallo scored 12 goals for Metz in Ligue 1 last season and caught the eye of many following his impressive return.
Mourinho called Man Utd target
Tottenham boss Mourinho personally contacted Real Madrid defender Sergio Reguilon to persuade him to move to London, according to Spanish website OkDiario.

Reguilon spent last season on loan at Sevilla, and helped the Spanish side win the Europa League.
It appears that the left-back is not part of Zinedine Zidane’s plans at the Santiago Bernabeu next season and Spurs reportedly hold an interest.
The report claims that Mourinho personally contacted Reguilon, via a phone call, to try and persuade the sought-after Spaniard to move to the capital amid links with Manchester United.
