Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Sanson offered, Milik's contract situation, Son to Man United

The upcoming transfer window will be José Mourinho’s first summer in charge of Tottenham Hotspur.

The summer window usually gives new managers a chance to stamp their style on their club, but this will be a slightly more complicated window for Mourinho.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic that has halted football since mid-March for Spurs, the club will have to be extra careful on how much they can afford to spend in the summer.

Tottenham behind the scenes

Despite the uncertainty, Mourinho is still preparing for next season, and with that being said, here are the best Spurs transfer rumours from today.

Spurs eye Milik deal

Tottenham hold an interest in Napoli striker Arkadiusz Milik, according to transfer expert Nicolò Schira.

Milik’s deal runs out at the Serie A side in the summer of 2021, with talks still ongoing over a new and improved contract.

However, it seems Spurs are trying to exploit the Poland striker’s contract situation and if they were to sign him, it could be on a reduced fee as the Serie A side look to avoid losing him on a free next summer.

The forward has scored nine goals in the Serie A this season.

Tottenham offered Sanson

Tottenham have been offered the chance to sign Marseille midfielder Morgan Sanson by his agent Pini Zahavi, according to French publication L’Equipe.

The French news outlet are reporting Sanson has been offered to three Premier League clubs, believed to be Arsenal, Everton and Spurs.

Marseille are just one of the clubs around Europe that are looking to sell on their star players in order to generate funds due to the financial crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

L’Equipe state the French club want £30m for their midfielder, who has started 26 games in France's top-flight this season before it came to a premature end.

Schmeichel thinks United should sign Son

Manchester United legend Peter Schmeichel believes his former team should make Heung-min Son their number one transfer target in the summer.

Son has once again been one of Spurs’ top performers this season – scoring nine times and providing seven assists during this season in the Premier League.

The former United goalkeeper revealed on a Twitter Q&A session earlier this week that the South Korea international would be his choice for a target he’d like to see his ex-team sign.
