Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Ruben Dias blow, Andre Onana interest and Inter Milan reunion

Here are your Tottenham transfer rumours for Wednesday, April 8th.

Spurs ‘very interested’ in Ajax star

Jose Mourinho could be set to boost his goalkeeping options with a move for Ajax number one Andre Onana.

According to reports in Sport, Tottenham are looking at the possibility of bringing the Cameroonian to North London, but could face competition from Barcelona for the player’s signature.

Onana, whose current deal at the Dutch giants is set to expire in 2022, is rumoured to be seeking a new challenge and could leave Amsterdam with the club said to be open to offers.

Tim Sherwood claims he will be a difficult act to follow

However, the player’s preferred destination would be the Nou Camp, where he spent five years at the Barcelona academy.

Tottenham knocked back in Dias chase

Spurs have reportedly been told they will have to break the bank to land Benfica defender Ruben Dias.

Responding to reports Jose Mourinho will go to his former club with a €45 million bid to land the player, Record write that it won’t be nearly enough to convince the Eagles to part with their star man.

The paper point out the player’s most recent contract has a €100 million release clause and, while they may be open to negotiation, it will still take a sizable fee to bring Dias to north London.

Spurs star urged to join Inter by former teammate

Jan Vertonghen has been urged to leave north London for Italian giants Inter when his contract expires at the end of the season.

Former Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen who joined the Milanese side in January has been in the ear of the Belgian defender, trying to get him to make the same move according to website Sempre Inter.

Vertonghen’s international teammate Romelu Lukaku who joined Inter from Manchester United last summer, is also said to be trying to convince the player to swap the Premier League for Serie A.

The 32-year-old’s time in Spurs looks to be at an end with no sign of a new contract being signed and Inter said be willing to offer him a two-year deal.
