Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Piatek agrees terms, Gareth Bale talks set

Jose Mourinho completed his second signing of the January transfer window on Wednesday, signing PSV winger Steven Bergwijn on a five-and-a-half-year deal.

Bergwijn’s arrival at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium comes just 24 hours after the club completed a permanent deal to sign Giovani Lo Celso on a permanent deal from Real Betis.

But Mourinho is not done just yet, with a striker his top priority ahead of the 11pm deadline on Friday night.

Here, we round up the day’s very latest Tottenham transfer news.

Alasdair Gold: Tottenham transfer latest

Newcastle target Rose move

Newcastle United are showing a serious interest in signing Tottenham left-back Danny Rose ahead of the transfer deadline on Friday, reports the Newcastle Chronicle.

Rose has been limited to game-time at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this term and would most likely be open to a move before the window slams shut.

Rose is out-of-contract in North London next year and has been told he will not be getting another deal, meaning Newcastle may stand a better chance of getting a deal over the line.

Spurs agree Piatek deal

Tottenham are reported to have struck a deal with AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek, with the forward agreeing personal terms, according to Sempre Milan.

Piatek has been attracting interest from right across Europe this month and Spurs are one of his biggest admirers.

Though the report claims that personal terms have been agreed between Tottenham and Piatek, it is not claimed that a transfer fee has been struck.

Tottenham and Madrid set for Bale talks

Tottenham and Real Madrid are set to hold talks over a possible transfer that could see Gareth Bale return to North London.

A report in the Daily Mail claims that Spurs owner Daniel Levy has met with Madrid for talks and are keen to get a deal done.

However, if any deal was to happen then Bale would be forced into taking a massive wage cut.
