Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Osimhen move ruled out, Barcelona set Coutinho asking price

The summer transfer window could be huge in determining Jose Mourinho’s career at Tottenham Hotspur.

Next season will be Mourinho’s first full campaign in charge at Spurs and there could be a mass change in the squad in the summer.

However, the club’s spending could be limited due to the financial crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

It seems Spurs are still looking around Europe for players to strengthen their squad, though, and here are the best transfer rumours.

Spurs set Coutinho price

Spurs are among the clubs reportedly keen on Philippe Coutinho and according to Football Insider, the Catalan club have set the terms for a temporary switch next year.

Any club interested in the unsettled Barcelona player will be required to pay an £8million loan fee and cover the player’s wages next season.

With the current uncertainty over the financial state of football, the north Londoners will likely look to explore loan moves rather than big purchases.

However, the Brazilian’s reported £200,000 a week salary may put Spurs off making a move for the ex-Liverpool man.

Osimhen agent rules out Spurs move

Lille striker Victor Osimhen’s agent has told Tottenham the player won’t be joining the club unless Harry Kane is sold.

Spurs had reportedly been keen on the Nigerian hitman but Osimhen doesn’t want to sit on the bench with Kane still naturally Mourinho’s first choice up front.

“Kane is their number one striker and he is the captain of England, all these will always work for him in the club but at Victor’s detriment.” his agent Ariyo Igbayilola told Nigerian publication The Cable.

“He needs a club where he will always play full game week in, week out. Not to be kept on the bench.”

Tottenham face competition for Serie A full back

West Ham are set to challenge rivals Spurs for the signature of Atalanta right-back Timothy Castagne.

Reports in Sportlens claim David Moyes will look to challenge Jose Mourinho for the Belgian player’s signature this summer, with Paris Saint Germain also reportedly keen.

The 24-year-old has impressed at the Italian club, helping them qualify for the Champions League for the first time ever this season.

With Serge Aurier’s future at Tottenham uncertain, Spurs are on the hunt for reinforcements on the right flank of their defence.
