Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Ndombele exit blocked, Coutinho interest, Gabriel offer

The Jose Mourinho era at Tottenham Hotspur is in full swing and fans are waiting to see what the Portuguese has planned in the transfer market this summer.

No one is expecting a full overhaul of the squad, but that hasn’t stopped the rumour mill from producing countless reports about who the club are targeting during the next transfer window.

With that said, here are the latest Tottenham rumours.

Coutinho interest remains

Philippe Coutinho remains of interest to Tottenham Hotspur, according to Sport .

Coutinho, 28, joined the Spanish giants in a deal worth an initial £105million but has struggled to establish himself at the club.

He joined Bayern Munich on loan, amid interest from Spurs, last summer although it is unlikely the German side will seek to extend his stay in the Bundesliga.

That has once again seen Spurs emerge as potential suitors, with the newspaper claiming Jose Mourinho is one of the parties ‘interested’ in the Brazillian.

It is believed a strict loan deal is being considered with clubs unwilling to meet Barca’s demand for a €70million mandatory purchase option.

Gabriel Magalhaes targeted

Tottenham have made an offer for Gabriel Magalhaes, according to The Sun.

Gabriel, 22, was believed to be close to a move to Everton but the two sides were unable to reach an agreement. The report claims that Napoli have agreed a £20million move for the defender, with a five-year-deal on the table.

That has not stopped Spurs from reportedly making a late bid, however, with the defender a target of Jose Mourinho.

Their interest is likely influenced by the situation regarding Jan Vertonghen, with Italian newspaper Il Messaggero , ( via the Daily Mail ), claiming the Belgian defender is in talks with Roma over a summer move.

Spurs have struggled to reach an agreement with Vertonghen over an extension, and it is expected he will leave the club this summer.

Ndombele exit blocked

Daniel Levy is refusing to sell Tanguy Ndombele this summer, according to Football Insider.

Ndombele arrived at Spurs from Lyon last summer, but has struggled to establish himself during his first year in North London and has rarely started games under Jose Mourinho.

The French international’s future has been a subject of much conjecture of late, with r eports claiming Barcelona are willing to organise a swap deal for the midfielder.

That deal looks unlikely, however, with Football Insider claiming Levy has ‘put the block on’ the 23-year-old’s exit.
