Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Mukiele targeted, Willian update, Sabitzer on Spurs reports

Tottenham’s season may be on hold as the world battles the coronavirus crisis, but that has not stopped reports claiming they are looking ahead and planning their summer transfer business.

It remains to be seen when the transfer window will open this summer, as leagues and associations battle to conclude their current campaigns.

But managers, and their recruitment staff, are believed to be keeping busy in isolation by planning deals well in advance.

With that in mind, here are the latest transfer rumours from the north London club.

Mukiele targeted

Tottenham are ready to rival Atletico Madrid and an unnamed Italian side to sign RB Leipzig full-back Nordi Mukiele this summer

That is according to French publication L’Équipe, via Get French Football News, who claim Spurs are ready to make a move in the upcoming window.

The 22-year-old has been one of his side’s standout stars this season, and played in both games against Spurs in the Champions League.

Willian latest

Willian has not held any discussions with Liverpool despite reports in Spain suggesting he has.

The soon to be out of contract Chelsea attacker was being tipped to make a surprise move to the Premier League leaders when the next transfer window opens.

However, football.london believes that is not the case and no contact between the two parties has been made.

Sabitzer on Spurs reports

RB Leipzig’s Marcel Sabitzer has opened up on talk of him heading to Tottenham this summer.

Sabitzer has 15 goals and eight assists in all competitions for Leipzig this season, which includes four goals and two assists in seven Champions League matches.

The attacker said on the links: “It is only speculation if this is actually the case. I read it too, but he didn’t tell me personally. So, I don’t know if it really is.”

Before adding in an interview with Sport 1: “But there is an overall uncertainty, also regarding the transfer market. I’ll wait and see, I’m relaxed. Then we will keep looking.”
