Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Milinkovic-Savic blow, Moron's £53.6m asking price lowered

It has now been over two months since Tottenham last played a match but, with the Bundesliga having returned, there is encouraging signs that the Premier League could follow suit.

Discussions surrounding Project Restart are set to continue this week, with the aim of playing the remaining 92 Premier League matches behind closed doors from mid-June.

That means there will at least a few more weeks without football for Spurs but it hasn't quite brought an end to the discussions, as transfer rumours continue to circulate.

Here, we have gathered some of the latest stories surrounding Tottenham.

Milinkovic-Savic blow

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has no intention of leaving Lazio this summer amid reported interest from Tottenham, Italian outlet Corriere della Sera report.

Instead, the Serbia international could be rewarded for his loyalty with a lucrative £3.5m extension with the Rome outfit.

Spurs have been attributed with an interest in Milinkovic-Savic, who has previously attracted interest from Manchester United, but he looks set to remain in Serie A.

This season, Lazio have enjoyed a rejuvenation and were going toe-to-toe with Juventus for the Serie A title before the campaign was suspended due to the coronavirus crisis.

Encouragement in Hojbjerg hunt

Tottenham have received encouragement in their pursuit of Southampton midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg ahead of the next transfer window, Football Insider reports.

The 24-year-old is named as Jose Mourinho's priority target for the end of the season and, having seen advances rejected in January, they have been encouraged to revive their interest.

It is stated that the former Bayern Munich man has resisted numerous attempts from the Saints to sign a new deal with the South Coast club.

The Denmark international sees his current deal expire next summer, where he would be available on a free transfer if a new contract isn't signed.

Moron asking price lowered

Real Betis are set to reduce their €60m asking price for striker Leon Moron ahead of the next transfer window, reports from Estadio Deportivo via Sport Witness state.

The hefty asking price for the 26-year-old forward is reportedly just a delaying tactic and the La Liga side do not expect such an offer to be placed.

It's added that Betis are keen to cash in this summer but Moron will not look to force an exit, with his price tumbling due to the coronavirus crisis.

The forward has scored nine goals and contributed two assists for Real Betis in the 2019/20 season, with the Seville outfit languishing in mid-table.
