Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Milik plan outlined, Belotti bid made, Deeney latest

It is a striker special in this morning's Tottenham Hotspur transfer rumours as Spurs continue the hunt for a striker.

Jose Mourinho sounded optimistic when speaking to the media about Spurs' chances of signing a striker but they have reportedly seen a fresh bid knocked back for a target.

Spurs have long been looking for a frontman to take the pressure off Harry Kane.

With that in mind, here are the latest Tottenham Hotspur transfer rumours.

Milik plan

Sky Sports claim that Arkadiusz Milik's asking price at Napoli means Spurs will wait to sign the striker.

The Polish attacker has been a long-time target of Spurs and there is plenty of speculation over his future at Napoli due to having just a year left on his contract.

Napoli are reportedly asking for over £30m, which could prove too much for a player with Milik's contract situation.

Instead, Spurs may move open discussions with Milik in January when he will be able to speak to other clubs over a free transfer.

Deeney latest

As part of the Milik plan, Sky report Spurs are also monitoring the availability of Watford star Troy Deeney.

The veteran striker netted 10 goals in the Premier League last season but was unable to prevent the Hornets from being relegated.

Spurs could well move for Deeney as a short-term option but any deal would likely happen towards the end of the window.

Belotti bid

Spurs have reportedly seen a bid for Andrea Belotti rejected by Torino.

Sky Italia claim that Spurs launched a £46m loan-to-buy bid for Belotti that was knocked back.

The 26-year-old has netted 79 goals in 175 appearances for Torino since joining from Palermo in 2015.
