The Premier League looks to be edging nearer to a return, and we could well see Tottenham back in action next month.
Spurs’ top four hopes looked to be fading fast before the coronavirus outbreak saw the season suspended.
The break has left a number of issues up in the air, not least the matter of the summer transfer window – although that hasn’t stopped speculation of what business Jose Mourinho might do.
Here are the latest transfer rumours to come from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Maxime Lopez push
Jose Mourinho is ‘pushing’ Tottenham to sign Maxime Lopez at a bargain £8.9m this summer.
That is according to a report from Estadio Deportivo, who claim his negotiations at Marseille have fallen apart due to the club’s financial problems.
The report goes on to add that the French side could sell Lopez this summer and have placed a €10 million (£8.9m) price-tag on him.
Lopez, 22, has not played a full 90 minutes in Ligue 1 since September and has largely been operating from the bench for Andre Villas-Boas' side.
Liverpool competition for Meunier
Liverpool are claimed to be interested in Paris Saint-Germain star Thomas Meunier.
A report from Le10sport seems to suggest the Reds are looking at the right-back as a potential option.
Meunier is set to become a free agent next month and Borussia Dortmund, Tottenham and Napoli have also been cited with interest for the full-back.
Coutinho interest registered
Tottenham have told Barcelona they are willing to sign Philippe Coutinho but only under special circumstances.
Spurs are looking to snap up Coutinho but not on a permanent deal, and instead would like a loan-to-buy deal instead.
Football Insider that the reason for the move is that Tottenham are not interested in paying Coutinho's full wages next season.
The former Liverpool star looks set to leave the Nou Camp this summer, and has been linked with a number of sides in the Premier League.
