Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Massive price tag on long term target, £45m man on shortlist

With Spurs all but confirmed as qualifying for next season's Champions League after Arsenal's failure to beat Brighton attention turns to this season's semi-final and the transfer window on the horizon.

It also means the Tottenham can start to think about signing players who would only go to a Champions League side this summer.

We'll learn more about who Spurs are looking at as a target over the coming weeks as we near the transfer window but some names are already starting to come to the fore.

Here are some of the latest transfer rumours about Spurs' summer plans:

These Spurs fans are all loving what Brighton's Yves Bissouma did after draw with Arsenal

Jack Grealish

He's back. With Aston Villa stuck in the Championship play-offs once again it looks likely that Villans will have to put up with another summer of Grealish being linked with Spurs and other Premier League sides.

However, according to the Mirror, the buyout clause in his contract s eye-watering.

They report that Tottenham will have to find £60 million if they want to bring Grealish to N17 this summer, which would be a big surprise after the club decided against signing him for £25 million last summer.

However, the report gives a bit of a mixed message and some positives for Spurs fans.

Apparently Grealish is likely to be one of the players sold off by the club if they fail to get through the playoffs so that they can comply with the Football League’s profit and sustainability rules.

The report doesn’t make it clear how much they might try and sell him off for though.

Donny van de Beek

He may have been the one to break Tottenham hearts at the new stadium in the first leg but if today's reports are to be believed he could be a popular man in north London next season.

The Ajax attacking midfielder is apparently being eyed as an alternative option Christian Eriksen, who could leave the club for Real Madrid in the summer.

The Daily Mail are reporting that Spurs' close relationship with the Dutch giants would put them in pole position to sign Van de Beek if he chooses a move to the Premier League.

Ajax are said to be keen to keep hold of as much of this season's squad as they can, but the report suggests that 22-year-old could be one of those they look to cash in on.

They say that the attacking midfielder would be available for £45 million but adds that Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund are also said to be interested in him.

Transfer budget

After two windows not spending a penny recent reports suggest that Spurs are ready to spend big in this summer window as they attempt to help Mauricio Pochettino with the next stage of his plan for the club.

Daniel Levy has apparently given Pochettino the go-ahead for a summer spending spree that should apease some fans left disappointed by the lack of action in the last two windows.

According to the Sun, Levy is willing to give the Argentinian a ‘massive transfer budget’ to help the club reach the next stage on the pitch with the arrival of the new stadium.

They add that spending had been restricted by the building of the stadium but after big profits last year Pochettino will be able to invest in his squad and start competing for the top players in the transfer market.
