Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Man United make striker enquiry, Spurs to launch £37m bid

Tottenham Hotspur’s hunt for Champions League football will not resume until the end of next month, at the earliest.

The Premier League and EFL are suspended until April 30 due to the coronavirus pandemic – but 2019/20 campaigns will be played to a conclusion – it was announced on Thursday.

Jose Mourinho will be desperate to secure a top-four finish for Spurs, and the lucrative Champions League spot that comes with it.

The most expensive Premier League transfers ever

As and when attentions do turn to the close season, there will likely be plenty of transfers both in and out in north London.

Here are the latest Spurs rumours...

Man United make Kane enquiry

Manchester United have reportedly asked about the availability of Harry Kane – despite the striker not being on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s shortlist.

According to the Athletic, the Red Devils have made an enquiry into a possible close season transfer for the Spurs star.

The report claims Kane was absent from the name of candidates Solskjaer had identified is his summer overhaul, likely due to the fact he is an unrealistic target.

Should Spurs miss out on Champions League football, Kane’s future at the club could be up in the air.

Battle to sign Valencia midfielder

Spurs are reportedly interested in Valencia midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia – but could face competition from Arsenal.

According to reports in Spain, Tottenham could launch a £37m offer for the 27-year-old, who has been with the Spanish side since 2017.

Kondogbia has two goals in 24 appearances for Valencia, and has a contract at the Mestalla until the summer of 2022.

The reports claim Mourinho is weighing up a 40m euros offer (£37m), but could be in a battle for his signature with Arsenal.

Transfer blow in pursuit of goalkeeper

Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha has been offered a new contract in an attempt to ward off interest from Spurs, according to reports.

Tuttomercatoweb claim the Serie A club are desperate to hold on to their star goalkeeper amid interest from a number of Premier League clubs.

Reports earlier this week claimed Spurs were keen to make a move for the Albania international, but faced competition from Everton and Leicester City.

The Italians are already said to have put a £32m pricetag on their goalkeeper, and are now keen to tie him down to a longer deal.
