The countdown to the start of the January transfer window is almost over.
There is now less than 48 hours to go until the shutters are lifted and clubs can bolster their respective squads ahead of the second half of the season.
For Tottenham Hotspur, the January window will represent them with the opportunity to bring both new faces in and allow those who are not featuring so heavily in Jose Mourinho's plans to leave, whether it be on a loan deal or a permanent basis.
Nevetheless, it could be a busy period for Spurs, especially if they want to add new faces to the squad in an attempt to get themselves back in the thick of the Premier League title race following a run of four matches without a win.
With that in mind, here is a round-up of all the very latest Spurs transfer rumours and gossip in one place.
Leipzig issue Sabizter update
Spurs' hopes of pulling off a January deal for RB Leipzig midfield ace Marcel Sabitzer have been handed an encouraging boost.
Markus Krosche, who is the Bundesliga club's sporting director, has confirmed that talks between Leipzig and Sabitzer over a new contract have been paused until the January transfer window shuts.
With that in mind, Spurs may fancy their chances of taking full advantage of that situation by launching a January move for the Austrian international.
Krosche told Bild: "We wanted to end the year first, both sides will deal more intensively with the topic in the spring."
When directly asked about Spurs' interest in the midfielder, Krosche added: "As I said, he has made a great development. It goes without saying that other clubs also notice this."
Bailey puts Spurs on red alert
Bayer Leverkusen winger Leon Bailey has put a whole host of Premier League clubs on red alert after it emerged that the Jamacian international has teamed up with Unique Sports Management, an English management company.
The Daily Mail reports that he will be represented by his Dad, Craig Butler's Phoenix Sports Management and the leading Hertfordshire-based agency, who also represent the likes of Manchester United's Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Reece James of Chelsea and West Ham United ace Michail Antonio.
With that move have taken place, it could significantly bolster Tottenham's chances of securing his signature, with them amongst the clubs keen on signing him. Arsenal, Everton and Manchester United are also reported to be in the running.
Mourinho mulling over Ramos swoop
Spurs chief Mourinho is targeting a reunion with legendary centre-back Sergio Ramos, as his Real Madrid contract edges closer and closer towards its conclusion.
The Spain international is out-of-contract in Madrid at the end of the season, meaning he will be allowed to leave for free in the not too distant future if he fails to put pen to paper on fresh terms.
According to the Evening Standard, Mourinho is keen to get the opportunity to work with Ramos once again after they worked alongside each other at Madrid during Mourinho's three-year stay at the Bernabeu.
