Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Jan Vertonghen eyed by Man City, Kyle Walker-Peters swap deal

This summer is set to be a massive transfer window for Jose Mourinho and his Tottenham squad.

It’s been a largely underwhelming season for Spurs - although they came from behind to beat their fierce rivals Arsenal on Sunday.

But nevertheless, Jose Mourinho has faced a tough task during his first season in charge in north London and unsurprisingly, there are plenty of Spurs-related transfer rumours.

With that being said, here are the best Tottenham transfer rumours from today.

Newcastle v Spurs: Jose Mourinho press conference

Vertonghen eyed by City

Jan Vertonghen has emerged as a surprise target for Manchester City when his Tottenham contract expires at the end of the season.

The defender will leave Spurs at the end of the season after he was unable to agree a new deal with the club.

And according to The Telegraph, Pep Guardiola has identified the Belgium as a possible solution to his defensive problems this summer.

Walker-Peters swap deal

Kyle Walker-Peters could be used in a deal for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg this summer.

The Dane wants to leave the Saints in the upcoming window and has long been linked with a move to Spurs.

And according to the Evening Standard, Walker-Peters, who is currently on loan at the Saints, could be used as a makeweight in a deal being done.

Targets identified

Jose Mourinho has put a defensive midfielder and a right-back at the top of his wanted list as he gears up for the summer transfer window.

The Express is reporting that Mourinho is in the market for a new full-back, with Serge Aurier and Kyle Walker-Peters both potentially set to leave north London.

The report also claims that Mourinho is targeting Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg after agreeing to let Eric Dier drop into defence.
