Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Hojbjerg demand, Emerson battle, Bozdogan update

Tottenham have endured a disappointing 2019/20 Premier League campaign overall and it's clear that transfer recruitment is needed this summer ahead of next term.

Jose Mourinho's men sit seventh with one match left and cannot earn a place in the Champions League.

Whilst the club's form of late has been impressive thanks to five league games without a defeat, it still has Spurs nowhere near where they want to be.

Homegrown Harry Kane is the ‘special one’ for Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham

It's unsurprising to see the rumour mill going into overdrive as a result.

Here is the latest Tottenham gossip.

Hojbjerg demand set

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's future looks likely to be the biggest transfer story of Southampton's summer and it has a lot to do with Tottenham.

The Londoners are interested in the 24-year-old, who has one year remaining on his current contract.

The midfielder has told Saints that he is not interested in signing a new deal, meaning a departure this summer is highly likely.

It has now been reported that Saints have been told to up their offer for the playmaker.

Spurs are said to be 'way off the pace' by the Evening Standard, and have been told that they have to come back with something better before negotiations press on with Everton, who are also interested.

Spurs chasing Bozdogan

Tottenham and Atletico Madrid are both considering moves for Can Bozdogan this summer.

The 19-year-old midfielder is attracting interest from across Europe and Transfermarkt claim that both Spurs and Atletico have made Schalke aware of their admiration for the player.

football.London understands that Tottenham have watched the teenager, along with other Bundesliga players, this season.

Battle for Emerson

Barcelona right-back Emerson is in high demand and Tottenham are just one of a few teams circling.

The defender is on loan at Real Betis until 2021 but AC Milan have touched base with Barcelona about his availability, according to Calciomercato.com.

Both Spurs and Bayer Leverkusen are interested in the Brazilian.
