Spurs target reveals Premier League desire
Monaco’s Guillermo Maripan has revealed his desire to play in the Premier League.
Maripan joined Monaco last year from Alaves and has enjoyed a strong season in Ligue 1.
That form has drawn interest from Spurs, according to Todo Fichajes, and the defender has spoken of his desire to play in England ahead of a potential summer move.
“Personally, I have always liked the Premier League a lot,” he told Al Aire Libre. “I have always wanted to play there, so I am aiming there.”
Tottenham move forward with Muriqi bid
Spurs have reportedly doubled their efforts to secure Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi.
The 26-year-old is currently on the books of Turkish giants Fenerbahce after joining the club from rivals Cayukr Rizespor last year.
Previously believed to be a target for West Brom, A Spor claim that Spurs have made an official bid of £4.5million but it is believed the club want closer to £22million for the forward, who netted 15 goals this season.
Pochettino wanted England defender at Spurs
Danny Rose has revealed that Harry Maguire was a target for Mauricio Pochettino before the England defender joined Leicester City in the summer of 2017.
Maguire, then at Hull City, apparently caught Pochettino’s eye during a 3-0 defeat of the Tigers in December 2016.
“Touching on Harry, we played Hull at White Hart Lane, and I think we won 2-0 or 3-0, I think Steve Bruce was manager, and straight away our gaffer was all over Harry,” Rose told The Lockdown Tactics.
“I think [Spurs] were in for him. Once Poch had taken a liking to him, I started to notice him straight away.”
