Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Gareth Bale announcement, Danny Ings approach, Dele Alli exit

Tottenham Hotspur's squad could look a whole lot stronger in the coming days if Jose Mourinho has his way.

Spurs are closing in on the signings of Real Madrid pair Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon which will make the rest of the top Premier League clubs sit up and take notice.

Mourinho has just over two weeks left to conclude deals in this summer's transfer window so the clock is ticking.

Here are some of the latest Spurs rumours and stories doing the rounds.

Bale update

Gareth Bale will be announced as a Tottenham player once again on Friday.

The winger has agreed a loan move to Spurs after falling out with Real Madrid.

The Athletic reports that Bale has now signed his contract at the club and will be announced on Friday.

The winger will cost Spurs £15million for the season, with the club paying around 250K of his wages.

Real reject Alli loan

Zinedine Zidane and Real Madrid has rejected the chance to acquire Dele Alli on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur.

One part of the discussions was the option of Alli being involved in deals to sign Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon.

According to Spanish publication AS, Zidane vetoed the move after he was left furious by Alli's comments in 2017 that he 'should've scored a hat-trick' in Spurs' 3-1 win over Real in the UEFA Champions League.

The wages of Alli were also seen as a deterrent with the Englishman earning £100,000-a-week.

Ings approach rejected

Tottenham have had a formal approach for Danny Ings rejected by Southampton, who remain hopeful of signing the England striker to a new contract.

Spurs have not bid for the forward but Jose Mourinho is desperate to bolster his attacking options and has identified Ings as a target, with Harry Kane his only out-and-out striking option.

The Guardian reports that Tottenham have turned to Ings after missing out on Callum Wilson.

Southampton, though, are adamant last season's top goal-scorer will not be allowed to leave the club.
