Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Fernandes makes decision on future, two defenders eyed

There is under a week left in the transfer window - and Tottenham are reportedly still hoping to complete a few more deals.

Spurs have already signed Jack Clarke from Leeds United and Tanguy Ndombele in a club record move from Lyon, but the Lilywhites continue to be linked with a number of other players as well.

As such, there could still be several incomings and outgoings.

Below, we take a look at the latest transfer rumours involving players who could arrive - and leave.

Donny van de Beek

Real Madrid are apparently eyeing a move for Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek if they cannot agree a deal with Manchester United for Paul Pogba.

The Spanish side have been linked with a move for Pogba for most of the summer, though United have made it clear that they will not accept bids for the French midfielder.

Pogba is valued by the Premier League side at over £150m, and Real Madrid are unlikely to meet that valuation. While the Spanish side have also been linked to Spurs star Christian Eriksen,  AS  report that their main choice as a Pogba alternative is Van de Beek.

The 22-year-old played a big role in Ajax’s progression to the Champions League semi-finals, and with the Eredivisie side valuing him at around €60m, Madrid would have no problem in meeting their demands.

Ryan Sessegnon

Spurs are reportedly confident of sealing a deal for Fulham defender Ryan Sessegnon.

With less than a week remaining of the transfer window, Spurs are still said to be chasing a number of deals, but the  Express  say they believe they can land Sessegnon despite Fulham boss Scott Parker expecting the left-back to stay.

Parker insists that Sessegnon will be in the right state of mind to start the Championship season if a move does not happen, with the 19-year-old still weeks away from full fitness after suffering a hamstring injury on international duty this summer with the England Under-21s.

Matthias Ginter

Spurs and Atletico Madrid are both reportedly interested in Borussia Monchengladbach defender Matthias Ginter.

The Bundesliga side will apparently only be prepared to lose the 25-year-old for €60m, according to  Bild , but neither side is prepared to pay that much.

Apparently, both Spurs and Atletico are willing to go to around €35m. However, time is running out for Spurs to seal a move, with just six days until the Premier League’s transfer window closes.

Ginter joined Monchengladbach from Borussia Dortmund in 2017, and has proved to be an influential member of the team.

Bruno Fernandes

Bruno Fernandes has told Sporting Lisbon that he wants to leave the club before the summer transfer window deadline.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder has been linked with Spurs and Manchester United.

O Jogo  are reporting that Fernandes has told Lisbon via his agent that he would like to depart the Portuguese side.

Both Spurs and United are in the race to sign him, according to the reports out of Portugal.
