Latest Tottenham transfer rumours: Dutch football expert tips Spurs or Man Utd to complete deal

The summer transfer window is officially open for Premier League sides and Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to do some business for the first time since January 2018.

The Champions League final defeat against Liverpool was disappointing, but Spurs will now look to respond by acting in the market as they look set to to rebuild the squad for Mauricio Pochettino and strengthen ahead of their first full season in their new stadium.

Here is a look at the latest transfer rumours surrounding Tottenham ahead of what is sure to be a busy summer.

Donny van de Beek

Dutch football expert Marcel van der Kraan says Donny van de Beek is looking for a move to either Manchester United or Tottenham this summer.

The Ajax midfielder has caught the attention of major clubs across Europe after helping the Dutch club reach the semi-final of the Champions League.

And talking to talkSPORT, van der Kraan says the 22-year-old is ready to move to England.

"Van de Beek has his eyes set on the Premier League. He is a proper Premier League player with an Ajax education and can play in many positions in midfield.

"He wants a move to Manchester United or Spurs and his agent says if that materialises that would be right up his street."

Hiroki Sakai

According to Sky Sports News, Tottenham are interested in Marseille right-back Hiroki Sakai.

The 29-year-old Japan international has the attributes Mauricio Pochettino is looking for in a defender.

But the club reportedly have concerns about his age and may switch to targeting younger players this summer, with Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier available to leave for the right fee.

Fernando Llorente

Fernando Llorente was included on the club’s released list, but is the Spaniard actually leaving Spurs?

The former Swansea City man was not given an official farewell by the club when the retained list was announced.

But the striker was included on the released list published by the Premier League, even though his contract is not due to expire for another three weeks.

Here’s the latest as we understand it.
