There is less than a fortnight to go now until the January transfer window opens and Jose Mourinho gets his first change to change his Tottenham Hotspur squad since replacing Mauricio Pochettino as manager.
Daniel Levy has not exactly earned a reputation as a man who likes to splash the cash but Mourinho is not a manager known for his restraint in the transfer market.
It may be the case of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object but for now Spurs fans can simply allow themselves to wonder which new faces could arrive at Hotspur Way before February rolls around.
In the meantime, let’s look at the rumours around Tottenham’s activity next month.
Spurs hold talks with PSG fullback
Tottenham Hotspur could be about to pull of a cut-price deal for Paris Saint-Germain left back Layvin Kurzawa, according to French publication Foot Mercato.
The Frenchman is out of contract at the end of the summer and will be free to hold talks with clubs outside of France from January 1 onwards but his representatives have apparently already made contact with three Premier League clubs.
As well as Spurs, Kurzawa is believed to be talking to West Ham and Manchester United ahead of a possible move, while PSG could be convinced to cash in on him in January if Tottenham decide they want to get him to north London sooner.
Contract talks stall for Spurs target
Kurzawa might not be the only free transfer arriving at Hotspur Way in the summer, with Spurs reportedly interested in a move for West Brom’s Nathan Ferguson.
According to Birmingham Live, Tottenham have been scouting the Baggies right-back for some time as they look to find a long-term replacement for Kieran Trippier.

And now they have been given a boost with the news that the teenager’s contract talks at the Hawthorns have stalled as he considers the option of a Bosman transfer to the Premier League, once again giving Spurs the chance to either sign him on a free in the summer or get him for a reduced price in January.
Liverpool and Chelsea rivals for Osimhen deal
If Spurs are to make a move for Victor Osimhen next month, the are going to have to fight off interest from both Liverpool and Chelsea according to Sky Sports.
The Nigerian has scored 12 goals in 23 appearances for Lille this season and is attracting plenty of attention, with Spurs believed to one of the teams at the top of the queue for his signature.
Liverpool are also said to be tracking the progress of the 20-year-old, as are Chelsea after they saw Osimhen score against them in this year’s Champions League group stages back in October.
